The Holy Trinity Anglican church located in Henrietta Village, is hosting a week-long series of activities beginning from Sunday last in observance of the Church’s 129th anniversary.
On Monday, senior members of the church visited those shut-in members who cannot attend church often due to some illness or who are not mobile.
On Wednesday members marched from La Belle Alliance some two villages away and later assembled in the Church where a service was held.
Activities such as spiritual reflections, fun day and camp fire would continue throughout the week.
The Church which is among the oldest in the Region was constructed in the nineteenth century.
During the week long series of activities, the Church would honour one of its oldest members, Katherine Gilkes, who is 94, of Bush Lot, Essequibo Coast, and who still attends Church.
The senior citizen lived in the United States for a number of years.
