President David Granger yesterday paid a visit to the mining town of Linden, where he did a walk about and met and spoke with residents on both sides of the river.
Making his first stop at Central Mackenzie, the President walked along Republic Avenue and Coop Crescent where several residents had converged just to get a glimpse of him. There were smiles all around as many of them took the opportunity to meet and greet him.
He later crossed over to Wismar where he visited the Blue Berry Hill and One Mile communities. Residents were overjoyed to see him and again cameras and phones flashed incessantly as most took the opportunity to get pictures with their President.
Even the children were not to be left out. Many sought the opportunity to get a photo. The President promised to return to the Mining Town next month.
Is this oil a blessing or a curse?
