After a short break locally due to international duties and recovery time, rugby players will shake of the rust and spring into action today when the Guyana Rugby Football Union stages pre-season Tens practice games, at the national Park commencing from 16:00 hrs.
In the two female teams -Kiskadees comprising players from the GDF and Pepsi Hornets take on Bluesackies made up of players from Yamaha Caribs and Police.
The Coaches are Elwin Chase and Laurence Adonis, while the Referee is Carlton Heywood and Replacement Clifton Garrett.
In the Men’s practice games that follow a combination of players from the GDF/Yamaha Caribs/Police square off against those from UG Wolves and Pepsi Hornets.
The Coaches are Kenneth Grant-Stuart and Clinton Clarke, while the Referee is Conrad Arjoon and Replacement: Alwin Etwah.
Supporting Officials are John Lewis, Philip Browne and Abiola Blair.
Meanwhile, the Union has stated that among the upcoming events are the Banks Sevens Tournament, Schools Tournament and its Annual General Meeting.
