Builders Lumber Yard and R&D Engineering Services Inc. continued to build Boyce and Jefford Track and Field Classic yesterday when both companies donated to the upcoming meet scheduled for August 15-16 at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground, Linden.
Chief Executive Officer of Builders Lumber Yard, Mahammad Salim expressed his appreciation for the event and love for sports, hence his continued support. Salim said that he will continue to support the meet based on its continued growth over the years.
R&D Engineering Services Inc. continued to have its name attached to the Boyce & Jefford Track and Field Classic VI when it handed over its sponsorship cheque Friday, as organisers prepare to host the sixth edition of Guyana’s most rewarding competition.
R&D Engineering was one of the first companies to support the event when it was birthed back in 2010 and signalled its intention of maintaining support. The meet will doll out in excess of $2M to clubs and athletes and another $250,000 to patrons.
Chief Executive Officer of R&D Engineering Services, Reginald Roach said that he will continue to support the event. The Local Organising Committee for the meet expressed gratitude to both of the companies for their donations toward the success of the event.
