A six member contingent comprising of two teams made up of two members each, a coach and manager yesterday winged out of Guyana for Ecuador to represent the country in the Continental Cup Beach Volleyball competition played amongst countries in South America.
The competition is expected to begin tomorrow.
The team comprised of pairs Ian Bagot and Luen David of PMTC and Creston Rodney of PMTC and Kapil Samaroo of Achievers with coach Levi Nedd and Manager Andrea Flores, Ms Flores is also expected to act as Interpreter.
The team which left Guyana around 10:00hrs will travel via Trinidad to Panama then Ecuador and is expected to arrive today.
The players were seen off by President of the Guyana Volleyball Federation Commander John Flores.
They are expected back in Guyana on Tuesday. (Samuel Whyte)
