Police were last night probing a shooting incident near Arapaima and Jackson Streets, Tucville, that left two men nursing gunshot wounds.
One of the victims identified as Ayodele Solomon, 32, of Tucville, was rushed to the hospital by taxi at around 21.00 hrs with a gunshot wound to the back. The other man, identified as Ryan Clementson, 27, of Mocha Arcadia, East Bank Demerara, was shot in the upper right thigh. He was taken to the GPHC in a police van.
Kaieteur News understands that Solomon alleged that he was hit by a stray bullet after someone opened fire at another individual. According to reports, Clementson, the other wounded man, took refuge in a nearby trench. Police took him out of the trench and took him to the hospital.
