Government Industrial Training College (GITC) inflicted a 7-0 drubbing on a shorthanded North Georgetown team as play in the Digicel Nationwide Schools Football Competition continued yesterday with a doubleheader, at the GFC Ground, Bourda.
On target for GITC were Juan Bailey, who lashed in a brace in the 62nd and 68th minutes, while Robby McCleggon in the 26th, Hakeem Clarke 49th, Raffiel Bollers 59th, Ackeem Adams own goal in the 60th and Paul Chang 75th completed their tally.
They now move on to play Morgan’s Learning Centre for a place in the North Zone of the Georgetown Division final where Chase Academy awaits the winner.
Meanwhile, Chase Academy, one of the favourites to win the Georgetown title gave more credence to their favourite tag after crushing a hapless St. Joseph’s High 9-0 with Kelsey Benjamin slamming in seven goals, while there was one apiece for Jaleel Hamilton and Sese Norville.
Benjamin goals came in the 3rd, 23rd, 34th, 56th, 70th, 73rd and 90th minutes, while Hamilton and Norville netted in the 20th and 57th minutes respectively.
