St. Kitts & Nevis defeated the Cayman Islands 6-0 in Group 1 of the 2015 Caribbean Zone Group stage Men’s Olympic Qualifiers on Wednesday last at the Stade Sylvio Cator in Haiti. In the other result in Group 1 played at this same venue Haiti blanked Barbados 2-0.
In Group 2 Cuba beat Guyana 2-0 and Antigua & Barbuda whipped Aruba 7-0 at the Antigua Recreation Ground in Antigua. Meanwhile, in Group 3 the game played at the Estadio Felix Sanchez in the Dominican Republic between Jamaica and St Lucia ended 6-1 in favour of Jamaica.
Games will continue today while the Group 4 games were scheduled to begin yesterday. This zonal qualifying tournament has an age limit of Under 23 for men born on or after January 1, 1993.
Two teams from these Men’s Qualifying games will advance to compete in the Confederation of North Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Men’s Olympic Tournament set to be hosted by the United States in 2016.
