Ten local referees are now better equipped to fulfill their respective duties after completing a Beach Soccer Referees course under the auspices of the Guyana Football Federation. Activities were conducted at the Bayroc Sports Club, Linden and participants were briefed on the laws of the game. Participants also received hands on experience after being given an opportunity to officiate in matches.
The Referees were also compelled to engage in physical fitness requirements specifically relevant to beach soccer so as to acquire a basic understanding of their responsibilities. The course was facilitated by Rollin Tappin and John Callender and the referees expressed deep gratitude to the organizers and facilitators for providing the opportunity.
