Anglican Bishop of Guyana, Rt. Rev. Cornell Moss died yesterday, after a period of illness in his native Bahamas. There is a report that he died in Florida after undergoing surgery. He had been suffering from hypertension, diabetes, lung infection and a heart condition.
He was in hospital last year and underwent a heart intervention. A report from his hospital, last year, said that doctors, during a routine medical check-up, found that his regime of medication was taking its toll on his liver and kidneys.
He underwent a cardiac intervention last year for congestive heart failure.
There was an accumulation of fluids around the heart and lungs coupled with the lung infection which had to be drawn out.
The Rt. Rev. Moss was Bishop of Guyana since December 2009
