All Seasons Racing Service/People’s Pawn Shop coalition dominoes tournament is set for Sunday at 53 Robb Street, Lacytown. Entrance fee is $10,000 and the drawing will be done at 13:15hrs while double six-time
at 13:30 hrs.
The teams that will be competing are All Seasons Racing Service, Frankie, Punter 6, Gangster, Scramblers, TNT, Mix UP, Thunder, Spartons, Rage, International 6 and F and H Printing Establishment. The tournament will be played under the rules of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (GDA).
The entity yesterday presented a cheque of an undisclosed amount to Organising Secretary of the GDA Mark Wiltshire who thanked them for coming onboard. Wiltshire stated the runner-up side will take home 40% of the entrance fees and third place 75% of the second prize which the sponsors would provide while the winner will pocket the total entrance fees.
He informed that the tournament dubbed ‘the coalition’ will be the first of its kind where three members of each team will be selected to play for a particular team based on a draw. He added that teams which failed to turn up on time will be eliminated.
Manager of All Seasons Racing Service Annmarie Singh said they are pleased to be associated with the sport and wished the teams well.
