A brilliant all-round performance by Chandradat Veerasammy led Rosignol Secondary School to first
innings points against No.8 Secondary in their drawn final Zone A Preliminary Match of the 2015 A. Ally and Sons Inter-Secondary School Under-17 Cricket Competition in Berbice to end up winners of that zone with 30 points, thus ensuring that they secured a place in the quarterfinals.
Veerasammy firstly slammed 148 to guide Rosignol to a formidable first innings score of 253 runs. When No.8 replied, he took 3 for 17 with his off-spinners, which together with 3 for 11 from Berbice under-15 medium pacer Javed Karim, skittled them out for 52 in their first innings. When No.8 Secondary followed on, Veerasammy took 4 for 29 to end with match figures of 7 for 46 but with opening batsman Deinanauth Persaud scoring 50, they held out for a draw with 95 for 9 at the end.
No. 8 ended their preliminaries as runners up to Rosignol with 27 points and nevertheless still advanced to the quarter-finals.
In a Zone B match, Berbice Educational Institute leg-spinner, Mahendra Parasram, took 5 for 28 to help restrict Tutorial Academy to 119 all-out in their first innings. When B.E.I. replied, Berbice under-17 batsman Steve Deonarine opened the batting and made 56 not out to guide them to first innings victory, seeing them to 122 for 8 at the close. Berbice under-17 leg-spinner Brandon Stewart took 5 for 25 for Tutorial.

At Edinburg, Berbice Educational Institute took first innings points from Tutorial Academy in their drawn match. Tutorial Academy 1st innings 119 all-out with Brandon Stewart 30, Steffon Anderson 28, Mahendra Parasram 5 for 28, Shelton Forde 2 for 15, Gevon Shultz 2 for 28. Berbice Educational Institute 1st Innings 122 for 8 with Steve Deonarine 56 not out, Shelton Forde 26, Brandon Stewart 5 for 25, Tyrell Peters 2 for 39.
