Sophia male and female teams recorded victories when the Queen’s College Allied Arts Department and Sports Committee held a four-over softball competition recently at Ministry of Education ground.
Sophia overcame Kesta by eight runs in male the final. Batting first, Sophia scored 49-4 before restricting Kesta for 38. In the female division Sophia beat a Mixed team by seven wickets. The mix team took first strike and made 44 off their allotted four overs while Sophia responded with 45-3 in 3.4 overs.
The winning teams received trophies; among those donating were The Trophy Stall Bourda Market, Zaman Alli, Johnny Barnwell and family, Joseph Harmon and Tent City.
