Linden River Front Festival which could rival the Linden Town Week in its impact on the community is proposed for Caricom Day weekend – July 3 to July 6, next.
According to the Director, Samuel Wright, this Festival is a celebration of the unique river front and its essential role in the social and economic development in Linden.
“This inaugural Festival will be continuous and simultaneous celebrations at various venues along the River Front; and the planned events will reflect activities that currently occur on the River Front. The Festival will focus on the events in a shorter time span than the Linden Town Week and at the same time; allow a branding of the pulse and the potential of the River Front.”
Wright said that some of the scheduled events are entertainment with performing artistes, a river side cleanup, a community breakfast/brunch, jazz and contemporary music performances, cycle races, regatta, a film festival and a Timehri/Linden Boat Cruise.
