Motherhood, he stated is a God given responsibility and he urged the awardees to always strive to be a positive role model to their children.
The long standing secretary/CEO also advised the attentive parents to make sure that their children attend school on a regular basis, stay away from drugs and the evil ways of satan, to get involved in sports and to attend church on a regular basis. The Berbice Under-15 captain also expressed gratitude to DTV-8 for partnering with the team on the project. Youths across Berbice were encouraged to submit essays on the topic “My Mother – My Best Role Model” and a panel of judges selected the winners.
