Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) batsman Jeetendra Sookdeo continues to excel in the Shanghai
Construction national cricket league in Trinidad and Tobago.
Sookdeo helped his club Merryboys to the title last year and has registered three consecutive centuries so far this season.
After getting scores of zero and 40 against Presyal and 17 and 20 versus Esmeralda, Sookdeo scored 103 and 63 in his next game against Powergen and followed that up with 21 and 105 versus Victoria. The left handed batsman has notched up 105 in his current game against Tableland. Merryboys are second in the league trailing Queens Park by seven points.
Speaking with Kaieteur sport on Thursday night last via telephone, Sookdeo said that he will return home for club and senior inter county cricket when the current season ends in June and hopefully get a call up to the Guyana team.
Sookdeo also helped his club to victory over Queens Park in the final of the recently concluded T20 festival, hitting 31 off 25 balls.
