Persistent rain prevented any play of the third and final round game between
Berbice and the Select Under-17 team in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Raj Singh Insurance Brokers Inter-County Under-19 50-over tournament which was scheduled for yesterday at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary.
Despite early morning showers, the ground staff still managed to get the pitch in playable condition and when the umpires took the field to facilitate an 11:10hrs start, a heavy downpour prevented them from doing so. After several inspections play was officially called off at 14:15hrs due to the soggy state of a section of the bowlers run up and the square.
