Former Berbice under-19 all rounder Parmanand Narine hit 87 for Port Mourant to
enable them to post an eventual winning total against Sand Reef as the 2015 Raffik and Sons Second Division 20 -Over Cricket Competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board for teams in the Lower/Central Corentyne continued recently. His knock, which included 8 fours and 1 six, saw Port Mourant to 154 for 4 in their 20 overs, a total which turned out to be too much for Sand Reef who in response could only muster 100 for 9 in their 20 overs with legspinner Avinash Wajib taking 3 for 14 off 4 overs for Port Mourant.
After posting 127 for 9 in their 15 overs, Kennard’s Memorial bowled out the highly favored Chesney for just 104 in 14.3 overs in their response with Kennard’s medium pacer Devendra Sydney doing the damage with 3 for 11 from 2.3 overs.
Medium pacers Leland Edwards and Michael Cummings picked up 3 for 7 from 3 overs and 2 for 2 from 2.2 overs respectively as Courtland All Stars bowled out Tain Block Four for 83 and then went on to win by 8 wickets.
