The Continental Group of Companies (CGC) have been sponsoring golf tournaments for over a decade at the LGC. Current Sales and Marketing Manager of the CGC, Mr. Avalon Jagnandan, expressed his delight for Torginol’s sponsorship to Club President Mr David Mohamad, and looks forward to their representatives being on hand during the day’s play, which is set to be an 18-hole event which usually lasts for about 4 ½ hours.

Tomorrow’s 18-hole medal play golf format will tee-off at 12:30p.m. and is expected to attract fierce competition from many golfers as the CGC provides very encouraging prizes and an atmosphere of goodwill.
Last year’s Best Net winners under the Medal Play format were, Shanella Webster – 1st; Fazil Haniff 2nd; Kalyan Tiwari 3rd and Juliet Prince 4th. Mohanlall ‘Santo’ Dinanauth carted off the Best Gross and closet to the pin award went to Brian Hackett.
Up for grabs tomorrow are prizes for 1st to 3rd Best Net, Best Gross and Nearest to the Pin.
President Mohamad advised that the grounds, fairways and greens are all in excellent condition.
As usual, the public is invited to witness the tournament free of cost.
