Everest and Port Mourant played to an exciting tie in a T20 fixture last Sunday at the Camp Road based club.
Led by an attacking 61 from Amir Khan, Everest posted 131-7 off their allotted overs. Chanderpaul Hemraj struck 32 (2×4,2×6) and Joseph Perry made 11 (1×4). Khan, who hit four fours and a similar number of sixes, featured in a third wicket stand of 80 with Hemraj after their team was reduced to 6-2, batting first. Tapash Tapit and Devendra Thakurdeen captured two wickets each.
Port Mourant replied with 131-6 in 20 overs. Rajiv Ivan slammed 31 (3×4, 1×6), J. Ramsammy 30 (4×4, 1×6) and Thakurdeen 24 (1×6). Khan took two wickets for Everest.
