Malteenoes SC (MSC) and Transport Sports Club (TSC) registered victories when the Georgetown Cricket
Association (GCA)/Brain Street U15 limited overs tournament continued Sunday last.
At Gandhi Youth Organisation, MSC overcame Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) by ten wickets. GCC were sent packing for 45 in 18.4 overs, batting first. Jeremiah Scott, Mel Rodrigues and Mark Wong claimed two wickets each. MSC replied with 46 without lost in seven overs. Andrew Andrews and Tuen Hicks made 13 and 12 respectively.
At MYO, TSC beat GNIC SC by two wickets. GNIC batted first and mustered 110-8 off their reduced quota of 38 overs. Dwayne Dick led with 38 while Jeremiah Benjamin contributed 24. Off-spinner Joel Spooner grabbed 5-8. TSC responded with 111-8 in 27.2 overs. Devon Allen made 18, Jamal Michael 16 and Spooner 15. Dick took 2-17.
Yesterday’s matches were called off due to rain. The competition continues today.
