Multi talented sportsman Hamza Eastman of Team Coco’s proved yet again that he is destined for great things when he out maneuvered seasoned campaigner and another high achiever Orville Hinds (Team Evolution) to win the feature event, school boys and invitation 35-lap contest when the 2nd annual Star Party Rentals 11-race cycle meet was held at the inner circuit of the National Park, Saturday.
The duo of Hinds and Eastman stamped their authority on the field from as early as the second lap which meant that the contest for top honors was between the two.
The young Eastman imposed his strength and ability to sprint for a long stretch in the final stages of the race which made the difference in him taking the top podium spot, clocking One Hour 17 Minutes 39 Seconds.
Robin Persaud claimed the third place and was trailed to the line by Horace Burrowes, Godfrey Pollydore (2014 winner) and Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams, the 4th to6th place finishers.
Addressing the cyclists prior to the presentation were sponsor, Lennox Cush a former National Cricketer and Managing Director of Starr Party Rentals, Lennox Cush and race organizer, National Coach Hassan Mohamed.
Cush thanked the riders for making the event a reality and for their sportsmanship displayed during each race while Mohamed commended Cush for his continued sponsorship and partnership.
Mohamed was recognized by Cush and Starr Party Rentals for his continued commitment to cycling.
