Police are investigating the death of 29 year-old, Ramesh Katarnauth, whose battered body was found on the rocky seaside of the Kitty seawall, early yesterday morning.
Investigators are unsure as to how the body arrived on the seawall but disclosed that a number of bruises were spotted on the victim’s face and upper body.
According to Katarnauth’s brother, who gave his name as Ryan, his sibling left home around 21:30 hours to buy a pack of cigarettes but did not return to his 83 Sandy Babb Street, Kitty home.
“After I see he ain come back I was looking around the village for him but didn’t find him.”
It wasn’t until the next morning that he received a call informing him that his brother might be lying dead on the seawall.
Upon hearing this news, Ryan went to the seawall at about 7:30 hours to identify his brother’s bruised body.
He said that he has no idea how this could have happened to his brother and said that he will wait until the post mortem, scheduled for today, before making any conclusions.
