– IBGL aboard
The Road to Mecca: Guyana’s National Basketball Championship will make a
journey to Linden Friday night at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Hard Court before Bermuda arrives in Guyana next week for the three game International Basketball Series.
The second edition of the Mecca to Mackenzie Basketball Playoffs will feature National Champs Trinity Grid Holdings (TGH) Pacesetters in a showdown against Linden’s Victory Valley Royals in the feature of three games scheduled for Friday night.
As result, Insurance Brokers Guyana Limited (IBGL) of 125 Carmichael Street, Georgetown has thrown its weight behind the event and yesterday handed over its contribution to Sports Management, the organisation that’s responsible for hosting what has become an annual event in Linden.
IBGL was founded in April 1969 and it is the first Insurance Broker to be established in Guyana and provides a unique and personal service to clients, regardless of size, small or large at no cost to them, placing business with only reputable Insurers.
The company contribution to the event is in line with its vision of tagging a sports activity in the community with its established brand. IGBL that is located on Carmichael Street in Georgetown opened its doors in Linden with another branch on January 17, 2015.
Apart from the Pacesetters vs Royals game, the night is scheduled to begin at 7pm with Plaisance Guardians taking on Amelia’s Ward Jets in a rematch while Retrieve Raiders battle Colts United in another showdown before the featured game.
