The A. Ally and Sons, Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Inter-Secondary School Under-17 two innings competition continued recently with left-arm-spinner Floyd Kissoon of New Amsterdam Secondary School (NASS) picking up 6-19 from nine overs to help bowl out Canje Secondary School (CSS) for 59 in their first innings.
This was in response to NASS’ first innings total of 114 all out. Batting a second time, NASS made 48-8 declared setting CSS a 101-run victory target. CSS struggled to 62-7 when time expired with Kissoon picking up 3-22 from six overs to end with match figures of 9-41.
At Rose Hall, Vryman’s Erven Secondary School (VESS) made 117 all out in their first innings against Berbice Educational Institute (BEI) with their spinner Kyle Michael taking 5-8 and pacer Isiah Lewis 3-18 to bowl out BEI for 94 in their first innings.

At Cumberland, New Amsterdam Secondary School took first innings points from Canje Secondary School in their drawn match. NASS 111 all out in their first innings; Berbice U-15 batsman Garfield Benjamin (30) and Brandon Corlette (22) the main scorers.
Off spinning all-rounder Kevin Sinclair took 4-28 and was backed up by Joshua Bacchus who had 2-18. In their second innings they made 48-8 declared; Kevin Sinclair (3-20) and Joshua Bacchus (2-4) doing the damage.
Canje Secondary School in their first innings made 59 all; Floyd Kissoon bagged 6-19 and Guyana U-15 pacer Steven Kamaludin 2-15. In their second turn at the crease, CSS made 62-7 with Kissoon 3-22, Joshua Deonarain 2-9 and Arjuna Pooran 2-9 bowling well.
At Rose Hall CC, Vryman’s Erven Secondary School took first innings points from Berbice Educational Institute in their drawn match. VESS made 117 all out in their first innings; all rounder Junior Williams 36 and Mark Wilson 22 leading the way. National U-15 Steve Deonarain had 3-25 and Floyd Schultz 2 for 30.
BEI fell for 94 in their first innings with Sasenarine Sookoo (30) and Mahendra Parasram (20). Kyle Michael captured 5-8 and Isiah Lewis 3-18.
