As celebrations to commemorate the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) continues in the Ancient County, four Primary Schools wil take centre stage from tomorrow when the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) Inter-Primary school softball tournament is contested at the Area ‘H’ ground.
The competing schools are Rose Hall Town, Port Mourant, Belvedere and Tain. An added incentive for the competing players is the fact that RHTY&SC coach, Delbert Hicks would witness the tournament to identify promising young players for the club’s developmental programme.
Club Secretary/CEO, Hilbert Foster indicated that they have already secured sponsorship for a female softball tournament also among Primary Schools that would be held next month.
Fixtures for tomorrow are as follows: Rose Hall Town and Belvedere would set the tone for the remainder of the day when they face off from 09:30hrs while Port Mourant and Tain will engage each other from 11:00hrs.
The losing teams will meet in the third place game at 12:30hrs while the winning team will collide in the championship game from 13:45hrs. The 10-over competition would see the top team and leading individual performers receiving trophies and medals.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
