Residents of Kuru-Kururu on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway are calling on the government to have repairs done on the main access road leading to the back of the village.
According to residents, repairs were made to the road a few years ago but soon deteriorated within months due to poor repair works and heavy rain fall.
Both residents and vehicle operators are affected by the damaged road with residents having to walk a significant distance to gain access to public transportation.
It’s also extremely difficult for vehicles to drive through the huge pot holes which become worst every time it rains.
The residents lamented that promises are always made but never fulfilled. The disgruntled villagers say their frustrations are made worse by the fact that the access road leading to Laluni, located aback of Kuru Kururu has been repaired while theirs is still in a state of disrepair.
