The Kennard Memorial Turf Club will stage its Phagwah meet on Sunday March 8 at its Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne Berbice racetrack.
Six events are scheduled for the day’s programme with the A1 and Lower 7 furlong race with a winner’s take of $700,000 the feature event. Other races will see D3 Maiden and E&F Open category horses battling for a $400,000 purse over 5 furlongs, G1 and lower covering 7 furlongs for a $300,000 purse, the J1 and lower 5 furlong event will see the winner taking away $180,000, while the K1 and lower and K and lower handicap horses will also run for 5 furlongs with $120,000 in prize money in both events for the winner.

Entries for the meet close on Sunday March 1 and no late entries will be accepted.
