Sixteen teams will participate in the Speedy Promotions 10/10 Softball Cup on December 27th, 2014 at the Coomacka Community Centre Ground under floodlights.
According to Promoter Oswald Charles known as Speedy, cricket is one of the games enjoyed by Lindeners and Guyanese as a whole. “This Christmas we got football but some people like cricket, that is why I doing this and under floodlights too. We have a fun day to begin with and the cricket after. It is not only for the mines people but for everybody. During the day the family can come out and enjoy a day of clean fun.”
The winner of the men’s competition will be taking home $150,000 plus a trophy and the winner for the women will take home $75,000 and a trophy. Prizes will also be given to the man and woman of the match.
