Christmas is a season for giving and this was certainly emphasized when Heavenly Grace Ministries brought holiday cheer to several needy children.
Heavenly Grace Ministries is a religious outfit situated at 141-14 Rockaway Boulevard in Jamaica, New York.
The organization has been known to host annual toy drives for needy children in Guyana, with this year’s event being held on December 12 and 13 last.
The efforts were supported by Dynamic Airways, TravelSpan and Pepperpot Radio of Toronto, Canada.
This publication understands that Heavenly Grace Ministries Pastor Lisa Singh travelled to Guyana in order to have hands-on input in a distribution exercise that saw some 300 gifts and bags of treats being handed out to needy children in Berbice and Zeelugt on the West Coast of Demerara.
According to Pastor Singh, the success of the yearly ‘toy drive’ venture is one that is a direct result of the participation of all the members of the Heavenly Grace Ministries’ family and friends, together with the Zeelugt Full Gospel Church, the Bath Full Gospel Church and the Tina Insanally Foundation.
An elated Pastor Singh said too that she was especially thankful to Dynamic Airways for transporting toys at no cost from New York to Guyana. She also commended the support of Pepperpot Radio of Toronto and TravelSpan Vacations who, according to her, helped immensely in spreading word about the drive and did not hesitate to facilitate the collection of toys to enable the drive.
The Facebook page of Heavenly Grace Ministries Kids Club (HGMKC), according to Pastor Singh, has since been updated with pictures of the children who were the beneficiaries of the ‘toy drive’ and has an acknowledgement to all sponsors.
However, persons who are desirous of learning more about Heavenly Grace Ministries and its noble efforts can log on to www.hgmny.org or email [email protected].
It is the hope of Pastor Singh that even as the Christmas season is celebrated “God will continue to bless us all as we continue to find ways to give back to those less fortunate in the coming New Year.”
