Just after returning from FINA youth development programme in Doha, Onika George of Silver
Shark Swim Club will lead a talented Guyana team at the Vos Dasani Powerade swim meet which will be held at Paramaribo, Suriname on December 20 and 21.
The eight-member team will depart Guyana on December 18 and will compete in the eight and under to 15-17 categories. The other members of the team are Nathan Hacket (11-12), Trumaine Cole (15-17), Leon Seaton Jnr (9-10), Danielle George (9-10), Jadyn George (9-10) all of Silver Shark Swim Club, Raekwon Noel (8 and under) of Dorado Swim Speed Club and Amber De Goeas (9-10) of Orca Swim Club. Leon Seaton is the manager and the coach is Sean Baksh. Ushaka Noel and Rhonda Seaton will serve as the female Chaperones.
In an invited comment manager Seaton said the team stands a good chance of doing well since the swimmers are all talented. He spoke highly of Raekwon, Seaton and George adding that the members are training really hard with the aim of doing Guyana proud.
