Cotton Field defeated Abram Zuil 5-0 in the final of the Essequibo Football Association under-15 football competition played Friday.
Mark Holder scored two goals, while Joshua Jones clubbed in another two and F. Pererria netted one for the winners.
The final was played at the Charity Community Centre ground in front of a large crowd which saw the winners being awarded trophies.
In the third play off, Aurora Secondary lost to Charity Secondary School on penalties.
Before the start of play, Commander of Police “G” Division, Kevin Adonis and Region Two Chairman, Parmanand Persaud, took the salute at the March past of the teams and also made brief remarks.
The feature address was made by the president of the GFF, while an overview was done by Andre Blackman, another member of the ECPFA.
President of the ECPFA, Mr. Walter Joseph, said his organization in collaboration with the Ministry of Education hope to stage similar events involving youths in Essequibo in the New Year.
The Essequibo Coast Football Association was formed last year. President is Mr. Walter Joseph, Vice president, Compton Haynes, with other members including Mrs. Maxine Stewart.
