On Sunday November 30 last, Sensei Amir Khouri 6th Dan, Chairman/Chief Instructor,
Association do Shotokan Karate – Guyana (ASK-G) conducted special Karate Grading examinations at the Trinity Primary School, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Sensei Khouri was assisted by Sensei Clinton Moriah (New Amsterdam Dojo) and Sensei Hazrat Ali of the Albion and Blairmont Dojo’s.
The special exam was for those students who missed Master Frank Woon-A-Tai’s examination which was held on November 16 at the YMCA Thomas Lands in the City.
Harikirtan Singh, Amirullah Kudrutullah and Jude Edwards were promoted from white to yellow belts.
Kennard Tageram, Bryan Voglezon, Monesh Tageram, Jaime Kingston and Maxwell Cameron were all promoted from white to orange belts.
Jared Mohabir, Marlon Baird and Seshram Persaud moved from orange to green belts while Xavier Henry was promoted from green to blue belt.
