Children, accompanied by their parents, got another opportunity to interact with their
favourite local cartoon characters, the likes of Sponge Bob, Spiderman, Dora and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. The occasion was the Courts annual road show and Christmas tree light up on Thursday, at the Richmond, Essequibo branch of Courts.
The turn out by Essequibians was again overwhelming. Earlier Thursday, the Courts team visited members of the Disability Center, at Queenstown Village.
Four Essequibians who purchased items above $29,000 were afforded a chance to “Spin the Wheel”. A winning turn saw them winning one hundred percent on those items.
Essequibians were later in the evening entertained by renditions of Christmas melodies done by the McKenzie family, of Essequibo, Courts choir and a local Essequibian entertainer. Local comedienne, “Radika” had the crowd in stitches.
An Acrostic piece which depicted the meaning of Christmas was performed by pupils of Good-Hope Primary and dances were also on the cards for the attendees.
Regional Chairman, Parmanand Persaud, reminded Essequibians that Courts is the first to remind all Guyanese that Christmas is near. Persaud said that a lot of poor people’s lives are made comfortable due to the numerous offers that the retail giant brings to the Guyanese people.
Thursday’s event also attracted Director of Operations at Courts Main Street office, Ms. Lavern Barker; Public Relations Officer, Roberta Ferguson; and Courts Richmond Branch Manager Twedel Bartin.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
