Suriname (Times of Suriname) – A boat carrying 22,000 litres of fuel was intercepted at Paranam in the Para District on Monday.
Reports are that three Guyanese men and a Surinamese woman were arrested. The police officers had reportedly received a tip-off.
That fuel was being traded at Waterland on the border entry at Domburg and Paranam. Police units immediately rushed to the location and found the boat captain, two crew members and the Surinamese woman. The woman had reportedly purchased all of the fuel.
