Guyana’s Nikhil Seereeram was adjudged the CMRC Superbike champion, while Barbados’ Mark Thompson captured the Group 2 category. Kristian’s father Kevin (Jeffrey) was adjudged the 2014 Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) Champion Group 4 driver, while Danny Persaud, who performed consistently throughout the season, was declared the Group 3 champ.

Meanwhile, President of the GMR&SC Johnny Carpenter speaking at the occasion said that the club enjoyed its most profitable ‘November Meet’ with this year attendance easily surpassing that of previous years.
According to Carpenter, the support of the fans clearly demonstrated that the sport is growing and thanked the hard working Committee and the support of the patrons as testimony to his view growth of the sport.
He extended thanks to all the fans, competitors and all those who worked behind the scenes to make the day a successful one for the host, but more importantly for regional motor racing. The GMR&SC
President said that with Guyana now being affiliated to the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) it opens the door for the club to raise the standard of the sport and help motor racing to become Guyana’s biggest sport.
Also present at the occasion were sponsors’ representatives led by the three biggest in Seaboard Marine, GT&T and Southland International under its Carlsberg brand. Seaboard Marine’s Stephen Bell in his remarks said that while the event has come at a busy time in annual schedule the Company felt duty bound to support regional racing, adding that they’ve seen its growth over the years and therefore there is no hesitation in remaining on board next year.
GT&T’s Nicole Duggan also pledged her Company’s continued support, while Carlsberg CEO Irzad Zamal expressed similar sentiments on behalf of his Organisation. Ray Rahaman, one of the founding members of the Caribbean Motor Racing Association (CMRA), said that next year, four countries will host the CRMC; starting with Jamaica in February 2015 then on to Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana in that order.
