Rainbow Generation and Bath recorded victories when the West Berbice T20 Festival commenced recently with two matches.
Playing at Bath Community Centre ground, Rainbow Generation thumped Monedderlust by eight wickets in the morning fixture. Batting first, Monedderlust managed 111-7 off their reduced 15 overs. Orwin Johnson scored 47, Arthley Bailey 27 and Travis Perry 21. Dellon Carmichael grabbed 4-20 and Keno Gravesande 2-23.
Rainbow Generation replied with 113-2 in 13.2 overs. Kurt Griffith stroked 64 and Brentol Woolford 20; Johnson took 2-25.
In the second game, Bath overcame Woodley Park by 59 runs. Bath took first strike and posted 145-5 in 20 overs. Andrew Dennis slammed 65, Shivkaran Seekaran 29 and Navin Ramnauth 21. Woodley Park were sent packing for 86 in 13.5 overs in reply with Vijay Ramoo scoring 27.
De Edward hosted Shieldstown yesterday, while Achievers will face Ithaca at Cotton Tree today.
