Top distance athletes, Alika Morgan and Cleveland Thomas emerged male and female open winners on
Sunday when the King Medas Classic/Panzy Adonis Memorial 5km Road Race was held on the East Coast of Demerara.
Morgan won in 18.26 ahead of Andrea Foster and Shion Boyer respectively in the female category. In the male race, Thomas was triumphant ahead of Winston Missigher and Kevin Bayley as Nathaniel Giddings slipped to fourth.
In the 17-20 category, Shantell Hinds came out victorious ahead of Cassey Kirton while Mathew McKenzie defeated J. Walcott and Carl McKenzie in that order. Cassey George won the female 3km run from Claudrice McKoy and M. Vaquhart.
