It was first scheduled for October 25 last but was postponed due to unforeseen
circumstances. The 17th Troy Humphrey Memorial Cycle Meet is now set for the Inner Circuit of the National Park tomorrow and cyclists can look forward to a lucrative day of racing.
Sponsored by Mr. George Humphrey of Humphrey’s Bakery and Farm Products, Ketley Street Charlestown and the Humphrey’s family, the event is being held in memory of the late Troy Humphrey who was one of Guyana’s top cyclists at the time of his death as a result of an accident.
The family has sought to keep the memory of Troy alive through what he knew best during his lifetime, cycling. Last year’s event was held at the Seawall Bandstand.
