The Everest Cricket Club is expected to come alive on Sunday with the hosting of the Vicky Singh Memorial softball competition. The tournament is being sponsored by overseas based Guyanese Asif Ally. Singh who passed away on March 13, 2013 was a former member of the club.
The following players have been selected to participate in the tournament and are asked to be at the club to facilitate a 09:30 hrs start.
Team one; Dharam Persaud (Capt.), Longsford Klass, Samuel Kingston, Anil Hardyal, Mahendra Arjune, Rickey Persaud, Ramesh Sunich, Buddy Rahaman, Richard Persaud, Shaheed Mohamed, Hanuman Singh and Suro Bissessar
Team two; Mohamed Rafeek (capt.), Oslyn Batson, Clyde Hoyte, Chien Gittens, Ryan Singh, Danny Mohanram, Colin Greaves, Vinod Lall, Ron Ramnauth, Rudy Persaud, Ejaz Mohamed and Rudy Rodrigues.
Team three; Rajesh Singh( Capt.), Richard Latiff, Ariel Persaud, Fidel Singh, Rohan Sarjoo, Paul Parsram, Ramesh Ramsaroop, Mike Lakeram Singh, Rickey Deonarine, Takur Rampersaud, Fazal Ally and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Team four; Asif Ally (Captain), Danny Gangadeen, Robert Mohan, Taiko Sookdeo, Narine Saywack, Rishi Singh, Khalid Haslim, Raymond Harper, R. Haslim, Dhakshanand Persaud, Avinash Chetram, Toney Singh and Eddie Barlow.
