A 24-year-old man was gunned down shortly after 21.00 hrs yesterday in Cooper Street, Albouystown, reportedly by unidentified men in a car.
Kaieteur News understands that Lloyd Bourne, of Lot 57 James and Barr Streets, Albouystown, was drinking with a friend in Cooper Street when the occupants in a passing vehicle opened fire, shooting Bourne in the left side.
The friend reportedly took Bourne to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he was pronounced dead.
Relative said they knew of no motive for the execution-style killing.
