Wellman Providence emerged winners when the curtains came down on the Champion of Champions dominoes tournament on Sunday night last at Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt.
Providence and TNT were tied on 78 games each in the final, but the former got the nod by making more sixes. All Season Racing Service placed third with 67 games.
Troy Dos Santos, Vernon Jordon, Batson Marson-Beaton and Sean Davis made 14 games for the winners. Ryan Boodhoo, Sean Morgan and Trevor Smith scored 16 each and Stephon Duncan 14 for TNT. David Bennet chalked 17, Franklin Seaforth 16 and Raymond Alli 11 for All Season RC.
In the semi final, TNT recorded 74 games to beat All Season RC with 69 and Mix Up on 64. Boodhoo and Trevor Smith made 16 apiece for TNT, Seaforth and Ali 15 each for All Season, Clarence Whitehead 15 and Rawl Peters 14 for Mix Up.
Providence took home a trophy and $70,000, TNT a trophy and $30,000 and All Season a trophy and $20,000.
