The Ministry of Education, (MOE) has said that it mourns the passing of Education Officer (Primary) of the Department of Education, Mr. Seeram Bhairo.
Mr. Bhairo died late Saturday night, after a brief illness. He served Guyana as an educator for more than 40 years.
In a press release, yesterday the MOE lauded the former Education Officer for his sterling contribution to the sector.
Bhairo started his career at Lower Bonasika Primary in 1973. He was appointed Senior Master in 1991. He also served as Headmaster at the Zeelugt Primary School; as District Education Officer-Region Three and was serving as District Education Officer (Primary) -Georgetown up to the time of his death.
The Ministry of Education will be hosting a wake in honour of Mr. Bhairo’s memory this evening, at its Brickdam, Georgetown, Head office.
