The Ministry of Education will be continuing the distribution of the ‘Because we Care’ $10,000 Grant vouchers in Georgetown today. The Ministry has a list of distribution centres and the name of the schools expected to be serviced at each centre. Distribution will commence at 9:00hrs at schools across Georgetown
Vouchers can be uplifted at the Sophia Primary School, Sophia Special School, the National Park; Stella Maris Primary School, St Margaret’s’ Primary, North Georgetown Primary Winfer Gardens Primary, St Angela’s Primary, St Agnes Primary, David Rose School for the Handicap, West Ruimveldt Primary, Agricola Primary , St Anne ‘s Primary, St Stephen’s Primary , St. Sidwell’s Primary, Graham’s Hall Primary School, St Gabriel’s Primary, St Ambrose Primary, Comenius Primary, Dolphin Secondary School, Ketley Primary School, Smith’s Memorial Primary School, Thomas Moore Primary School, St Pius Primary School, East La Penitence Primary School, F.E Pollard Primary School, J. E Burnham Primary School, Rama Krishna Primary, Redeemer Primary, Bel Air Primary School, Enterprise Primary, South Ruimveldt Primary and Tucville Primary School.
The Ministry said it wishes to remind parents and guardians that they would have to present themselves at the scheduled distribution venue. The parents/guardians receiving the vouchers must present a valid means of identification. Identification (I.D) cards, passports, drivers licences are all acceptable and the recipients would be asked to sign or mark a document indicating that they have received a voucher.
To en-cash the voucher, the recipients will have to attend to any Western Union/Bill Express across Guyana, offer the required information and present a valid identification document. Vouchers must be en-cashed by November 30.
