All roads lead to the Albion Sports Complex tomorrow for the annual Berbice Chambers of Commerce and Development Association CBIS tournament. The tournament, in its fifth year, will bring together players from Corporate Guyana with the intention of building bridges and friendship among workers.
It has been a success over the years and for the first time the final will be played under international quality floodlights. In addition, the feature hardball game will bring together a strong team from West Berbice a Chamber Eleven with most of the top players in Berbice to participate. That will be a 20-over affair and will follow the softball final under lights as well. The draw was done recently and the fixtures are as follows:
Nand Persaud Karibee Rice vs Dharmic Sabha from 9.30 hours
Hand In Hand Insurance vs The New Building Society from 9.30 hours
Oldendorff vs Metro from 10.30 hours
Neal and Massey vs GBTI from 10.30 hours
Berbice River Bridge vs Ansa McAl from 11.30 hours
Republic Bank vs Regional Chairman Eleven from 11.30 hours
J’S Supermarket vs Banks DIH from 12.30 hours
All teams are reminded to be at the ground by 8.45 hours for the march past before the event kicks off. Many gate prizes will be up for grabs.
