– boasts of continuous contract awards
Digital Technology Group in boasting of its continuous awards of contracts and projects says that the company’s achievement stems not only from the quality of its products, but also from its sustained business success as a reliable supplier to the local market.
This statement is in response to an article published by Kaieteur News on Monday 20th October, 2014 captioned “Controversial Digital Technology Wins Another Contract”.
“Digital Technology Group adheres to ethical practices and commits to providing high-value products and services to our customers. Further, Digital Technology Group shares strategic alliances with internationally renowned companies like Dell, LG Electronics, Cisco, Symantec to name a few. These alliances allow the company to offer its customers quality products and services at competitive prices,” the company disclosed in a press statement issued yesterday.
“In the past, Kaieteur News attempted twice to ridicule and slander the credible reputation of the Digital Technology Group and its authenticity of products and services provided. Even though the said statements were refuted by Digital Technology and their Professional Partners, Kaieteur News is apparently still on the course of trying to tarnish the reputation of this company.
“In the article published on Monday 20th October, 2014, several statements were made about the Digital Technology Group’s reputation on the authenticity of products and services provided to the general public and the company’s negligence and favouritism in not adhering to standard bid procedure. While these absurd statements are once again used as the basis for attempting to destroy Digital Technology’s reputation, there was no evidence provided by Kaieteur News to prove them true. This first and foremost basic responsibility of any investigative reporting is that evidence must support statement.”
The company further stated “The article also highlighted and summarized some of the major projects that Digital Technology was awarded in the past. If Digital Technology’s reputation is being questioned in relation to the authenticity of products and services provided, then why were the projects successful and thus the company being awarded projects continuously?
“Kaieteur News spoke of the authenticity of the Dell brand and the products provided by DT to a project for the University of Guyana and concluded that the products are not authentic or of a low quality Dell products. If this is so, then why has Dell awarded the Digital Technology Group as being a ‘Preferred Partner” for over 6 years in Guyana? It must be noted that one of the criteria to become partner for these international brands is continuous technical and sales training. Therefore, the staff members of the Digital Technology Group constantly undergo training provided directly by these international companies.”
