The Winston Murray Memorial Over-40 softball cricket competition is set to commence on October 26. The tournament will be sponsored by Digimax and preliminary matches will be contested at the Georgetown Cricket Club and GNIC grounds. The final will be played at GNIC on November 22.
Among the teams expected to battle for a top prize of a trophy and $100,000 are Regal, Sundee Masters, Frontline and Industry Superkings. The runner up will take home a trophy and $40,000 and man of the series a trophy and $10,000. For more information teams can contact Samuel Kingston on 614-9536.
The competition will be played in memory of the late Winston Murray, a former chairman of the People’s National Congress.
