While a police anti narcotics raid in Albouystown on Monday came up empty handed for drugs, ranks were able to arrest two men following the discovery of two weapons in a house on Curtis Street.
Acting on information received, police ranks swooped down on the property and carried out a search for narcotics. During the search, they stumbled upon two 9mm pistols and three magazines with 26 rounds of matching ammunition.
Two men who were in the house at the time have been detained, although they both denied ownership or knowledge of the weapons.
