– defending champs St. Pius held to another draw
Led by leading marksmen Keion and Rayheem Marques, Tucville answered the critics who
questioned whether they could maintain their impressive form when they eased to a comfortable 3-0 win over St. Gabriel’s as play in this year’s Courts/Petra Organisation Schools Pee Wee Football Competition continues yesterday, at the Thirst Park ground.
Playing in the penultimate game of the day, Tucville went ahead as early as the 6th minute through Raheem Marques, but were stalled in their advance for the remainder of the half.
In the second period, Keion Marques netted the first of a double in the 21st minute of play, before returning six minutes later to complete his tally and secure an easy victory for the leaders.
Defending champions St. Pius were once again held to a goalless draw against St. Angela’s, while F.E. Pollard showed no mercy on their Kitty-based counterparts J.E. Burnham, crushing them by a 6-0 margin.
St. Margaret’s also looked impressive in their 3-0 triumph over St. Ambrose, while Enterprise and East La Penitence provided riveting entertainment for the fans as they went toe-to-toe for the duration of their encounter.
