National Associations affiliated to the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) will now
have the benefit of a reconditioned 29-seater Coaster Bus to transport its athletes. This is according to President of the GOA, K. Juman Yasin, who made the pronouncement during a press briefing held Thursday, at the entity’s Headquarters on High Street, Kingston.
Yasin disclosed that the reconditioned vehicle was bought for US$35,000, while expressing regret that the entity could not buy a new one.
“We should have been able to buy a new vehicle, but due to several unsuccessful attempts over the past few years to get duty free concession we had to settle for a reconditioned one,” Yasin stated.
